When we talk about rashi. It is about aspects. Conjunction and movement of sun in them. On the other hand Nakshatras play a major role in the timing of the chart, activating the effects of the Grahas in the chart in a very particular order. Vedas explains qualities of the Nakshatras through symbols and mythological associations. Common use of Nakshatras is in system of dashas. Dashas are planetary cycles that divide life in major time periods, and each of those time periods in sub periods.

Classification of nakshatras
Dhruva
Rohini, Uttarashada, Uttarafalguni and Uttarabhadrapad are called Dhruva nakshatra. Under this nakshatra timing it is coronations, planting of trees, expiatory rituals, meritorious deeds, seeds sowing and other permanent things.
Tikshna
Mula, Ardra, Jyestha and Ashlesha are tikshan nakshatra. Good for success in attacks, imprisonment of others, murder, separation of friends and rising of goblins.
Ugra
Purvaphalguni, Purvasadha, Purvabhadrapada, Bharani and Magha are ugra nakshatra. In these timings success over enemies, destruction, arson, striking with weapons, imprisoning, poisoning, and murders.
Ksipra
Hasta, Ashwini, and Pushya are Ksipra nakshatra. Trade, sensual sports, education, decorations, medical treatment, fine arts, skilled labor are related with this.
Mridu
Anuradha, Chitra, Revati and Mrigasira are mridu. Making friends, auspicious ceremonies, sexual union, use of garments and ornaments are connected with this nakshatra.
Mridu-Tikshna
Krittika and Vishaka gives mixed results.
Cara
Cara Nakshtra Shrvana, Dhanistha, Shatabhisa, Punarvasu and Swati are beneficial for emphemoral things.
